Disneybounding- Oscar Style

Sunday, February 28th was the 88th Academy Awards (hosted by Cris Rock). It was a great show as always, and we are still trying to take in all the exciting things that happened during the spectacular event. Leonardo DeCaprio won his first Oscar. Inside Out recived Best Animated Feature. Woody and Buzz presented an award. It was a fantastic night. But one thing that stood out to us was all the fantastic red-carpet looks. And being the Disney fans we are, of course we saw the similarities between our favorite stars and classic characters while watching the Oscars. Take a look at our 2016 Oscar/Disney comparisons and let us know what you think in the comments below.

1. Cate Blanchette as Giselle

Kate totally reminded us of our favorite New York princess. Her gorgeous teal dress and flower pattern is someting only Giselle could replicate.

2. Kate Winslet and Ursela

Now, we're not saying that Kate and Ursela are the same, because we know Kate is way too kind to trick us into giving her our voice. But her flowing, slick black gown gives her the attitude and flare of our favorite villain!  

3. Daisy Ridley and Maria Menounos as Silver Dress Ariel

We immediately saw these two beautiful women and thought of Ariel. Their long, sparkly silver gowns look as if they are glistening in the sun just like Ariel at the end of her movie. Maria's flowy beachy hairstyle plus Daisy's form figure creates the perfect Ariel look.

4. Hedi Klum as Rapunzel

Besides both being spunky and outgoing, Hedi reminded us so much of Rapunzel at the Academy Awards. They both show off their love of purple, while incorporating flowers in unique ways. The fun and positivity of both girls made us think of Rapunzel right away!

5. Saoirse Ronan as Ariel

We couldn't go without using Ariel once more for our Disneybounding stars. Saoirse's long beautiful emerald gown reminded us of our favorite mermaid and her tail. They are both adventurous and long for something more!

6. Charlize Theron as Jasmine

Charlize's great red dress was the star of the show at the Oscars, so we had to include her in our Disneybounds. She most resembles Jasmine in her red outfit. It fits her body perfectly and it's long and flowing just like Jasmine's.

7. Tina Fey as Yzma

Tina and Yzma have one thing in common, an amazing sense of style and personality. Sure Yzma may be evil and Tina may be a famous actress whom we love dearly, they both share an uncontrollable amount of sass and confidence. And we love that.

8.  Alica Vikander as Belle














Alica told reporter at the Oscars that her dress was inspired by her favorite princess, which is Belle! The sparkles and full ballgown look creates the perfect disneybound for Belle. She has the grace and style to impress any beast!
